The "Assign New Meter" interface facilitates the assignment of meters to consumers within the system. This module allows users to input essential information for a new meter assignment, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

This section requires the input of detailed information for the new meter assignment. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must contain valid data for the assignment to be successfully created.

• **Zone*:** Select the designated zone from the dropdown menu. This is a required field.

• **Area*:** Select the specific area from the dropdown menu. The available areas are filtered based on the selected zone. This is a required field.

• **Consumer Account*:** Select the consumer account to which the new meter will be assigned. A search option is available to locate the consumer account. This is a required field.

• **Meter*:** Select the meter to be assigned from the dropdown list. A search option is available to locate the meter. This is a required field.

• **Meter Assign Reason*:** Select the reason for assigning the meter from the dropdown menu. This is a required field.

• Meter Install Date: Specify the date on which the meter was installed. A calendar icon is available to select the required date.

• **Initial Meter Reading*:** Enter the initial reading of the meter at the time of installation. This is a required field.

• Description: Enter any additional information, comments, or remarks related to the meter assignment in this text area.

Located at the bottom right of the interface, these buttons control the submission and cancellation of the new meter assignment process.

• Cancel: Selecting this button will discard all unsaved changes and close the "Assign New Meter" interface.
• Create: Selecting this button will validate the entered information. If all mandatory fields are completed and data is valid, the new meter assignment record will be added to the system.
