The "Edit Area" module provides administrators with the capability to modify the details of existing operational or geographical areas within the system. This function ensures that area information remains current and accurate, reflecting any changes in assigned zones, naming conventions, effective dates, or operational status.

The "Edit Area" form presents the area's current information, allowing for modifications to various fields. Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be populated.

• **Zone Name *:** Displays the current parent zone. This field is a dropdown, allowing you to select a different existing zone if the area's association needs to be changed.
• **Area Code *:** Displays the unique code for the area. This field is generally read-only as it serves as a primary identifier once created.
• **Area Name *:** The official and descriptive name of the area. This field is editable, allowing for corrections or name changes.
• **Effective Date *:** The date from which the area configuration is considered active or valid. This field is editable via a calendar icon, allowing for the selection of a new effective date.
• Status: The current operational status of the area. Select a new status from the dropdown menu to change it to "Active" or "Inactive" as required.

o Active: The area is currently operational and available for use. o Inactive: The area is not actively used, and its functionalities may be restricted.

• Description: An editable free-text field for any additional details, notes, or a comprehensive description pertaining to the area.

• Update: After making all necessary modifications to the area's details, select the "Update" button to save the changes. Upon successful update, the modal window will close, and the "List of Areas" will reflect the revised information.
• Cancel: If you wish to discard any changes made and exit the "Edit Area" form without saving, select the "Cancel" button. The modal window will close, and the area's information will remain unchanged.
