DMA Information (ডিএমএ তথ্য)

DMA Information Management ·

The "DMA Information" module empowers administrators to efficiently manage and maintain District Metered Areas (DMAs) within the system. This module facilitates the comprehensive oversight of DMA data, including their associated zones, effective periods, and operational status, which is crucial for water management, resource allocation, and leakage control.

Search Query

This section enables users to efficiently search for existing DMA configurations based on specific criteria.

  • DMA Code: Enter the full or partial code of the DMA to be retrieved.
  • DMA Name: Enter the full or partial name of the DMA to be retrieved.
  • Zone Code: Enter the full or partial code of the parent zone to which the DMA belongs.
  • Zone Name: Enter the full or partial name of the parent zone to which the DMA belongs.
  • DMA Effective Date: Select a specific effective date to filter DMAs active on or after that date. A calendar icon facilitates date selection.
  • End Date: Select a specific end date to filter DMAs whose validity concludes on or before that date. A calendar icon facilitates date selection.
  • Search: Activate this button to apply the specified search filters and populate the "List of DMAs" table with corresponding results.
  • Reset: Activate this button to clear all applied search filters, thereby displaying all available DMA configurations in the "List of DMAs" table.

Filter and Pagination

  • Filter Text Box: Enter keywords into the "Filter..." text box located above the table. The table will dynamically filter rows to display only entries that contain the entered text.
  • Pagination Controls: Located at the bottom-right of the table, these controls (e.g., "1," "2," "Next," "Previous") allow navigation through multiple pages of results if the list is extensive. A dropdown menu enables users to select the number of rows displayed per page (e.g., "10," "25," "50").

Table Columns

The "List of DMAs" table provides the following columns for each DMA entry:

Column NameDescription
CheckboxA checkbox associated with each row, enabling selection of one or multiple DMA entries for potential batch operations (if applicable).
SLSequential serial number of the DMA entry within the current page.
DMA CodeA unique identifier code assigned to the DMA.
DMA NameThe official name of the DMA.
Zone CodeThe code of the larger zone to which this DMA belongs, indicating its
hierarchical relationship.
Zone NameThe name of the larger zone to which this DMA belongs.
Effective DateThe date from which the DMA configuration is considered active or valid.
End DateThe date on which the DMA configuration ceases to be active or valid. If blank, it may indicate indefinite validity.
StatusIndicates the current operational state of the DMA: "ACTIVE" (in use) or "INACTIVE" (not currently active).
ActionsContains icons that enable specific operations to be performed on the respective DMA entry.

Actions

Each DMA entry within the "List of DMAs" table includes actionable icons under the "Actions" column:

  • View/Details Icon (Eye icon): Select this icon to display the complete details of a specific DMA configuration in a read-only format.
  • Edit Icon (Pencil icon): Select this icon to modify the attributes of an existing DMA configuration. This action will typically open a form allowing data input.
  • Delete Icon (Trash Can icon): Select this icon to remove a DMA configuration from the system. Caution is advised: This action is irreversible and may impact system functionality if the DMA is referenced elsewhere. A confirmation prompt will usually appear before deletion.
  • More Actions Icon (Gear/Cog icon): (If present) This icon indicates additional, less frequently used actions specific to the DMA entry, which may include functionalities like status change, auditing, or other custom operations.

Adding New DMA Configuration

To initiate the addition of a new DMA configuration to the system:

1. Select the "Add New +" button, conveniently located in the upper-right quadrant of the screen, above the "List of DMAs" table. 2. Upon selection, a new form or modal window will appear, prompting the input of detailed information for the new DMA. Complete all required fields as per system guidelines.

Exporting Data

The data presented within the "List of DMAs" table can be exported into various common formats for reporting or external use:

  • Excel: Select the "Excel" button to download the current list of DMAs in Microsoft Excel format (.xlsx).
  • PDF: Select the "PDF" button to generate and download a PDF document of the displayed list.

Column Customization

The "Columns" button facilitates the customization of visible columns within the "List of DMAs" table. Selecting this button will reveal a dropdown menu, allowing users to select or deselect specific columns for display, thereby tailoring the table view to their preference or reporting needs. This feature helps in focusing on relevant data by hiding unnecessary columns.
