The "Create New DMA" module facilitates the establishment of new District Metered Areas (DMAs) within the system. This process ensures that all necessary parameters for a new DMA are accurately captured and integrated, enabling precise water management, monitoring, and operational control.

Complete the following fields to define the new DMA. Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be populated for successful creation.

• **Zone Name *:** Select the name of the parent zone to which this new DMA will belong from the provided dropdown list. This establishes the hierarchical relationship for the DMA.
• **DMA Code *:** Enter a unique code to identify the new DMA. This code should adhere to predefined naming conventions (if any) and must be distinct from existing DMA codes.
• **DMA Name *:** Provide the official and descriptive name for the new DMA.
• **Effective Date *:** This field indicates the date from which the new DMA will be considered active or valid in the system. It is pre-populated with the current date (e.g., "22-Jun-2025"). A calendar icon allows for manual date selection if a different effective date is required.
• Status: Select the operational status of the new DMA from the dropdown menu.

o Active: The DMA is immediately operational and available for use in system processes. o Inactive: The DMA is created but not yet active; it will not be available for selection until its

status is changed to "Active."

• Description: Provide any additional relevant details, notes, or a comprehensive description for the new DMA in this free-text field.

• Save: After accurately populating all required and relevant fields, select the "Save" button to submit the new DMA configuration. Upon successful submission, the system will typically close the modal and update the "List of DMAs" with the newly created entry.
• Cancel: If you wish to discard the entered information and abandon the creation of the new DMA, select the "Cancel" button. The modal window will close, and no changes will be saved to the system.
