The "Create New Slum" module facilitates the establishment of new slum areas within the system. This process ensures that all necessary parameters for a new slum are accurately captured and integrated, enabling precise mapping, service planning, and targeted community support initiatives.

Complete the following fields to define the new slum. Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be populated for successful creation.

• **Zone Name *:** Select the name of the parent zone to which this new slum will belong from the provided dropdown list. This establishes the hierarchical relationship for the slum.
• **Slum Code *:** Enter a unique code to identify the new slum. This code should adhere to predefined naming conventions (if any) and must be distinct from existing slum codes.
• **Slum Name *:** Provide the official and descriptive name for the new slum.
• **Slum Location *:** Enter details regarding the specific geographical location of the slum. This field may accept free-text descriptions or coordinates.
• **Effective Date *:** This field indicates the date from which the new slum will be considered active or valid in the system. It is pre-populated with the current date (e.g., "22-Jun-2025"). A calendar icon allows for manual date selection if a different effective date is required.
• Status: Select the operational status of the new slum from the dropdown menu.

o Active: The slum is immediately operational and available for use in system processes. o Inactive: The slum is created but not yet active; it will not be available for selection until its

status is changed to "Active."

• Description: Provide any additional relevant details, notes, or a comprehensive description for the new slum in this free-text field.

• Save: After accurately populating all required and relevant fields, select the "Save" button to submit the new slum configuration. Upon successful submission, the system will typically close the modal and update the "List of Slums" with the newly created entry.
• Cancel: If you wish to discard the entered information and abandon the creation of the new slum, select the "Cancel" button. The modal window will close, and no changes will be saved to the system.
