The "View Lookup Configuration" module provides administrators with a detailed overview of existing lookup configurations and their associated data entries. This screen is primarily used for reviewing the structure and content of predefined lists that standardize data input across the system, such as "Waiver Type" or "Final Test."
LookupType Configuration
This section provides the overarching details of the specific lookup configuration being viewed.
- Lookup Name: This field displays the unique identifier or name assigned to the lookup list (e.g., "Final_test"). This name is used system-wide to refer to this specific predefined list.
- Status: This field indicates the current operational state of the entire lookup configuration.
o Active: The lookup is currently in use and its values are available for selection in relevant
system fields. o Inactive: The lookup is not actively in use, and its values may not be available for selection.
LookupData Configuration
LookupData Configuration This section presents a comprehensive, tabular display of all individual data entries that comprise the selected lookup list. These are the specific options users can select from when interacting with a field linked to this lookup. Each row represents a distinct lookup data entry and includes the following information:
| Column Name | Description |
|---|---|
| SL | (If present) Sequential number of the lookup data entry within the displayed list. |
| Lookup Code | A unique numerical or alphanumeric identifier assigned to each specific lookup data entry. This code is used internally by the system. |
| Lookup Value | The actual text or value that users will see and select from in system dropdowns or input fields. |
| Status | Indicates the operational state of the individual lookup data entry: "ACTIVE" (currently available for selection) or "INACTIVE" (not available for selection). This status can often be modified when in edit mode. |
| Effective Date | The date from which the specific lookup data entry becomes valid or active within the system. This is typically presented with a calendar icon, allowing for date selection if editing is enabled. |
| Short Description | A concise explanatory note or additional contextual information pertaining to the lookup data entry. This field may have an expand/collapse icon, indicating that more detailed information might be available or that it supports multi-line text input when editing. |
| Actions | (When in Edit Mode) Contains icons for executing operations on the respective individual lookup data entry, such as editing its attributes or deleting the row. |
Navigating and Interacting with the View
Navigating and Interacting with the View
- Read-Only Display: When accessed via the "View/Details Icon," the screen typically presents the information in a read-only format, preventing accidental modifications.
- Scroll Functionality: If the number of lookup data entries exceeds the screen's display capacity, scroll bars will appear, allowing users to view all entries within the "LookupData Configuration" table.
- Close Button: Located at the bottom-right of the screen, the "Close" button allows users to exit the detailed view and return to the previous screen, typically the "Lookup Configuration" list.
This module ensures transparency and provides administrators with the necessary insights into the standardized data lists utilized across the system, contributing to robust data governance.
